ImproVallarta – April 19, 21, 24, 26 at 7:30pm
Uproariously funny, incredibly fast-paced and totally unscripted improvisational theatre comes to the Red Room Cabaret! Two renowned Canadian improv troupes present Who’s Line is it Anyway? and ImproVallarta created exclusively for Act II Entertainment Stages.
ImproVision is Alan MacKenzie, George McRobb and stage manager Audra Lesosky. Since 2002, they have
performed their own hilarious style of improv in international theatre and comedy festivals, and exclusive
engagements. Fixtures in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, ImproVision has also performed in the Edmonton Fringe
Festival, Winnipeg Improv Festival and Winnipeg Comedy Festival – earning numerous five-star reviews and
countless sold-out houses. Alan and George use their lightning quick wit to take audience suggestions and spin
side-splitting scenes on the spot. The veteran performers mash up standard improv games, throw in mousetraps,
clothespins and even audience volunteers to generate huge laughs.

Shawn Kowalke and Luke Falconer are The Horrible Friends. Since 2010, these two powerful performers have been creating comedy on the spot that is often loud, occasionally violent, and always funny. Expect to see baseball bats swung, crackers spewed, and two hysterical improvisers who are incredibly in synch – Shawn and Luke practically read each others minds. Their unique approach to improvisation is like Whose Line Is It Anyway meets Reservoir Dogs. Regulars in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, they have garnered many outstanding reviews for their raucous sold-out shows.
