This clown will keep you laughing! Truly one of the best camp shows I've seen. Don't question it, just go. Bring your friends; you will NOT be disappointed!
Our beloved Sutton Lee Seymour returns for her THIRD highly-anticipated season in Puerto Vallarta! As one of the most popular, SOLD-OUT shows at Act II, this one-woman, comedic dynamo performs and spoofs everything from Disney, Broadway and Hollywood, to impersonating celebrities like Carol Channing, Joan Rivers, Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, and many more. Known as the “Robin Williams of Drag,” (TripAdvisor) and “….one of the best and brightest drag talents in New York City (Huffington Post), Sutton Lee is known for taking full-length musicals and movies and condensing them down to a 5-minute ROMP OF HILARITY!
Being a “big theater geek,” Sutton Lee Seymour comes from a theatrical background. Both of her parents were involved in community theater, and they used to drag her off to rehearsals with them. Her father played Broadway tunes all the time in their home, so she comes by her love of Broadway music naturally! In her “evil twin” (boy life), she was an actor, working with the legendary Charles Busch on the musical, Bunnicula. Charles piqued her desire to try “drag,” so she changed her name, slipped on a gown, and found her niche in the entertainment world.
Sutton Lee, New York’s campiest live singing queen, has been touring her shows to sold out crowds in New York (Laurie Beechman Theatre), Los Angeles (The Cavern Club and TheatreOut), Chicago (The Ruckus), and Puerto Vallarta (Act II Stages), and has become a staple entertainer on Atlantis Events cruising the seven seas! As an award winning drag performer (NYC Glam Award – Breakthrough Artist), she has worked alongside some of the best in the business, including Jackie Beat (who complimented her once…), Bob the Drag Queen, Peaches Christ, Miss Richfield 1981, and Coco Peru! Sutton has appeared on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live," and also appears in Mattioli Productions’ documentary, “Words: An Exploration of Identity,” which has been receiving accolades at the Atlantic City Cinefest, MEDff, Cosmic Film Festival, Barcelona Planet Film Festival, and the Corvallis Queer Film Festival. She has an uncanny ability to walk into a room with her contagious energy, pull the audience into the palm of her hand, and then make everyone feel that they are a part of an intimate, personal experience, begging for more. Once you see her show, you’ll bring all of your friends back with you! This show is a must see! For more SHE-nanigans, visit www.suttonleeseymour.com!
Diana Valeria Villamonte took Puerto Vallarta by storm last night. And this is one storm we can hope will never go away. Run do not walk to see her next show at the Red Room next Tuesday at 730. No doubt it will quickly be sold out.
I've been struggling to write something to capture the mood of the evening… Probably my most important contribution to this will be to say that I saw it last week (with friends) and I'm going next week (with other friends)! My husband, Gholi, loves the music and said, "When can we go again?
My husband and I just attended a cabaret at Act II. We were so excited to get to see three beautiful young ladies in the debut of "TRINITY!" This show featured the last three winners of the Voice of Vallarta singing competition, and they were great! I’m so excited to find such great talent here in Puerto Vallarta, and will definitely go back to Act II on my next trip!
As a full-time resident of Puerto Vallarta, I always look for things to do in the summer! Last night, my husband and I had the opportunity to see the fabulous first Thursday night show of Act II's "Spotlight on Vallarta" Summer Series! Danny Mininni, owner of Act II, told us that the series is designed to recognize and promote local talent during the summer season. So, local resident, Gabe Arcineaga, put on a show that could easily be rival any cabaret show in the U.S! Gabe is already a seasoned actor and he toured with Charo "back in the day," but this was his first performance in a one-man cabaret show setting! OMG!!
I have attended plays, groups of musicians in Stages and soloists in the Red Room and have nothing but a wonderful receptive time. Danny Mininni hosts a warm place to mingle with friends or make new ones while viewing top entertainment of many genres from all over the world, in addition to fantastic local talent. I urge everyone to check out this locale, as good as one would find anywhere. Puerto Vallarta s becoming a premier draw for music and acting fans.
We were looking for something unique and affordable to do in PV. We really enjoy local theatre/shows when we travel. The red room is an intimate space and staff were great. Show we saw with Mama Tits and she was a entertaining and motivational. Although we were only heterosexual couple it was a blast. Act II has range of shows available during higher season. I'd highly recommend checking this place out. We will return for future shows
This is such a bawdy good time! We have seen the Dueling Divas twice and Joanne's solo show once. They are great singers and fun entertainers! Costume changes and THOSE SHOES! What amazing range!
The time flew right by each time and I never wanted the shows to end! Laughed so much!
This is a definite stop each time we visit PV.
We first discovered Act II Stages in December 2015 on our first visit to Puerto Vallarta. We attended 3-4 evening performances in the Red Room that week -- comedy, singing, drag -- all good. We enjoyed it so much we returned to Puerto Vallarta in December 2016 and again went to Act II a few times. What a fun time! Highly recommend.
